According to health officials, the number of Palestinians killed by Israel’s shelling of Gaza reached approximately 3,000 on Tuesday, according to news agency Reuters. Since the Hamas carried out an unprecedented assault on Israel on October 7, more than 1,400 Israelis have perished.

Israel Promises To Destroy Islamist Hamas Organization

Israel has pledged to fully destroy the Islamist Hamas after Hamas fighters crossed the border and massacred tens of thousands of people on a rampage across southern Israeli villages on October 7. Since then, Israel has used airstrikes to level large portions of Gaza’s densely populated territory, evict more than half of its 2.3 million residents from their homes, and impose a complete blockade on the territory, preventing it from receiving food, fuel, and medical supplies.

On Israel’s order to evacuate Gazans, the UN

Israel’s order to evacuate people of the northern Palestinian region and its blockade of Gaza, according to the United Nations Human Rights Office, may amount to the forceful transfer of populations, which is recognized as a crime against humanity on a worldwide scale.

Ravina Shamdasani, a spokeswoman for the UN Human Rights Office, said, “We are concerned that this order, coupled with the imposition of a complete siege of Gaza, may not be considered as a lawful temporary evacuation and would therefore amount to a forcible transfer of civilians in violation of international law.”
