During a rally held at Gandhi Ground in Udaipur, Rajasthan, on Friday afternoon, Shah would emphasise the accomplishments of the Modi administration over the last nine years, according to reports. The Home Minister will participate in a public rally as part of the BJP’s intention to organise a month-long mass outreach campaign throughout the nation as the PM Modi-led Central government will have served nine years in total across two consecutive terms as of May 30.

The top BJP official is skilled at outlining the accomplishments of the Modi administration for national welfare during the previous nine years.

Among them, some accomplishments include the Pradhanmantri Ujjwala Yojana, which fuels the LPG revolution, holistic growth with an increase in higher education institutions, the impetus to road infrastructure under Bharatmala Pariyojana, the empowerment of women, the making of quality medicines affordable for everyone, the digital revolution by transforming India’s economy through digital transactions, the revolutionization of medical education in India, Northeast India’s journey to end insurgency, the Jal

One of the accomplishments of the Modi administration that Shah may list at his rally in Udaipur is the repeal of Article 370 and Article 35A, the two clauses in the Indian Constitution that granted special status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.

The idea that Jammu and Kashmir had a distinctive status suggested that they were distinct from the rest of the nation and had played a significant role in promoting secession. The Modi administration abolished the two articles in 2019, keeping its election pledge.

Article 35A, which was inserted to the Constitution by presidential decree rather than an amendment, gives the state the authority to decide who is a permanent resident of the state. The state of Jammu and Kashmir is exempt from all articles of the Indian Constitution, according to Article 370, which also lists the sections that do apply.

Article 370, which states that “all the provisions of the Constitution also apply to Jammu and Kashmir,” was revised and is still part of the Constitution, although Article 35A was repealed and is no longer in effect. In addition, Jammu and Kashmir was divided into two union territories: Jammu and Kashmir, which has an Assembly, and Ladakh, which does not.

Handling Shah may highlight Covid-19 in his speech as well as other accomplishments of the Modi administration, including the world’s biggest free immunisation programme, which has delivered over 200 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccinations developed in India. Another achievement is the Cowin platform, which was created to manage the immunisation programme.
