Sharad Pawar in Maharashtra denounces Ajit Pawar’s coup and claims that the NCP does not support his actions

Sharad Pawar, the head of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), made a bold decision to dissociate himself from Ajit Pawar’s activities, claiming that the party did not support his uprising and that it was completely his personal choice. The 83-year-old leader said today’s happenings may surprise some people, but not him as he spoke to the media, expressing his steadfast desire to resurrect the party and play a significant role in the unified opposition for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He compared it to a similar circumstance he encountered in 1980, when all of the party’s leaders had defected but he had still been able to save the organisation.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-53355″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-sharad-pawar-in-maharashtra-denounces-ajit-pawars-coup-and-claims-that-the-ncp-does-not-support-his-actions-1673337507-1655900501-sharad-pawar-750×417.jpg” alt=”” width=”1647″ height=”916″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-sharad-pawar-in-maharashtra-denounces-ajit-pawars-coup-and-claims-that-the-ncp-does-not-support-his-actions-1673337507-1655900501-sharad-pawar-750×417.jpg 750w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-sharad-pawar-in-maharashtra-denounces-ajit-pawars-coup-and-claims-that-the-ncp-does-not-support-his-actions-1673337507-1655900501-sharad-pawar-768×427.jpg 768w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-sharad-pawar-in-maharashtra-denounces-ajit-pawars-coup-and-claims-that-the-ncp-does-not-support-his-actions-1673337507-1655900501-sharad-pawar-150×83.jpg 150w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-sharad-pawar-in-maharashtra-denounces-ajit-pawars-coup-and-claims-that-the-ncp-does-not-support-his-actions-1673337507-1655900501-sharad-pawar.jpg 900w” sizes=”(max-width: 1647px) 100vw, 1647px” />

Ajit Pawar’s assertion that joining forces with the Shinde-Fadnavis administration has the backing and approval of many people was immediately followed by Sharad Pawar’s news conference. He disclosed intentions to organise a public gathering and seek the endorsement of YB Chavan, a former chief minister of Maharashtra, while expressing confidence in their support.

Sharad Pawar made a noteworthy comment in which he emphasised that this problem was not about the division of his house but rather the interests of the people. According to Hindustan Times, he praised PM Modi for this breakthrough.

Sharad Pawar made it clear that he will discipline Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare for failing to carry out their duties with regard to internal issues. At the press conference that followed Ajit Pawar’s swearing-in, Praful Patel was there.

Sharad Pawar said that he will not take Ajit Pawar to court over the electoral emblem in the future. Instead, he wanted to engage the populace and depend on their backing for the party’s future endeavours.
