Clemente, who comes from the well-known Del Vecchio family, takes over as this year’s youngest billionaire. His father, Italian business mogul Leonardo Del Vecchio, was known for being the founder and chairman of Luxottica, the biggest manufacturer and retailer of eyeglasses and frames in the world.

Clemente and his five siblings gained access to their father’s enormous fortune after his death, making them among the richest people in the world.

Leonardo’s net worth was estimated to be an astounding US$24.1 billion at the time of his death, ranking him as the second-wealthiest person in Italy and the 54th-wealthiest person overall. The late Clemente’s father’s eyewear company, Luxottica, is chiefly responsible for his stunning US$3.5 billion wealth, despite the fact that nothing is known about the adolescent Clemente.

Distinguished eyewear companies including Armani Exchange, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, and Prada Eyewear are all part of this Italian conglomerate.

Claudio, Clemente’s older sibling, is the one with the greatest notoriety. Claudio supervised Luxottica’s American operations for an amazing fifteen years, leading the company to make important acquisitions. He successfully purchased the men’s clothing brand Brooks Brothers for $225 million after orchestrating the acquisition of LensCrafters in 1995 for an astounding $1.4 billion.

Along with living in Italy, Clemente, his brother Luca, and their mother—Leonardo’s third wife—also possess estates in a number of other nations. The significant money left behind by eyeglasses magnate Leonardo Del Vecchio was split between his wife, Nicoletta Zampillo, his six children, and his stepchild.

The only kid Leonardo Sr. had with Zampillo, Leonardo Maria, who is now 28 years old, is said to be worth US$3.5 billion. Leonardo Maria, who is now the chief strategy officer of EssilorLuxottica, is also the CEO of the eyewear store Salmoiraghi & Vigan.
