<p>Kartik Singh, the victim, was 17 years old when the accused brutally killed him. One of the accused said that he committed the crime in order to become a major troublemaker in the community.</p>
<p>On social media, a video of the event has also become quite popular.</p>
<p>On Nov. 4, the murder case was made public.</p>
<p>The primary culprit also carved the initial letter of the victim’s name on the boy’s face and body. The kid was assaulted with knives and axel blades all over his body.</p>
<p>The victim’s parents had pleaded with the authorities to punish the accused as severely as possible for his acts of savagery.</p>
<p>The accused attacked a team under the command of Mulbagal police inspector Vittal Talwar near Devarayasamudra village in Mulbagal taluk, the police said, when the squad was about to arrest the two.</p>
<p>Talwar shot the two accused in the legs out of self-defense.</p>
<p>A PSI and two police officers were also hurt in the altercation and are receiving medical attention at the Kolar District Hospital.</p>
<p>Three police personnel were previously suspended by Kolar SP M Narayana due to carelessness in relation to the event.</p>
<p>To express outrage at the horrific event, activists launched the social media campaign “save Kolar, save youth.”</p>
<p>Additionally, the police department has organized awareness campaigns for the district’s institutions’ student body.</p>
<p>The district administration has ordered the police department to stop crimes in the area since they take this development seriously.</p>
