According to Kashmir South Zone Police, on Monday, militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama area shot and killed a migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-258867″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-terrorists-in-jammu-and-kashmir-murdered-a-migrant-worker-from-uttar-pradesh-downl.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com terrorists in jammu and kashmir murdered a migrant worker from uttar pradesh downl” width=”1032″ height=”687″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-terrorists-in-jammu-and-kashmir-murdered-a-migrant-worker-from-uttar-pradesh-downl.jpg 275w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-terrorists-in-jammu-and-kashmir-murdered-a-migrant-worker-from-uttar-pradesh-downl-150×100.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1032px) 100vw, 1032px” title=”Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir murdered a migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh 3″>

Terrorists opened fire on the migrant worker, identified as Mukesh, in the Tumchi Nowpora neighborhood of Pulwama. Afterwards, he passed away from wounds sustained during the procedure.

The laborer who died was from Uttar Pradesh, according to Kashmir Police. The event brought to light the Valley’s biggest security risk for foreign workers.

The area has been sealed off by security personnel in the wake of the migrant worker’s death.

The event happened only hours after security personnel claimed to have shot and killed a terrorist who was attempting to cross into India over the Line of Control.

Terrorists have targeted migrant laborers in the past as well. Five non-local laborers were assaulted by terrorists in two different events in July of this year.

Following the revocation of Article 370 in 2019, there has been an increase in terrorist assaults in Kashmir against foreigners. Terrorists assaulted about ten migrant laborers in 2022 alone.
