The filmmaker underlined his point of view on the impossibility of a female lead in a motion picture. “Why can’t Deepika be the lead on Pathaan?” he asked. How come? Not Sure Why Not? Is there no way a movie about a woman? Not at all? And I believe that producers and studios in particular need to start promoting that.

Participating in the roundtable conversation, Kriti Sanon spoke about the industry’s persistent attitude. “There is a sizable segment that is still very patriarchal, where a man’s opinion also matters a great deal more than a woman’s opinion,” the speaker said. And I’ve seen that elsewhere. Thus, it occurs. It’s a way of thinking.

Alankrita Shrivastava, an Indian screenwriter and filmmaker, says, “You know what is being done will suffer when there aren’t enough women behind the camera. Additionally, a direct relationship exists.

Anupama Chopra facilitated a roundtable conversation with Zoya Akhtar, Alankrita Shrivastava, Hansal Mehta, Juhi Chaturvedi, and Aparna Purohit.

The highly awaited docuseries Indi(r)a’s Emergency will have its global debut, according to a recent announcement made by Vikramaditya Motwane. Additionally, he disclosed that this incisive three-part documentary series will be the main attraction at the esteemed Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. It illuminates one of the most controversial episodes in Indian history following independence: the proclamation of a national state of emergency by the formidable Indira Gandhi. The show is a singular work of film, consisting only of cartoons and archive video. Carefully chosen video content from the BBC, British Pathe, and Getty is used.

Regarding his career, Vikramaditya Motwane is working on many projects, such as Control, Vishpuri, and Stardust. He’s also getting ready for a television show that will focus on Tihar Jail in the 1980s. The 2019 book Black Warrant: Confessions of a Tihar Jailer, co-written by writer Sunetra Choudhury and former Tihar Jail superintendent Sunil Gupta, is slated to be adapted for the big screen by him.
