A guy who was killed during the Punjab terrorism in an encounter 31 years ago suddenly reappears alive

A guy who was supposedly killed in an encounter during terrorist activity in Punjab has been discovered alive. Jagir Singh made a comeback at the age of 70 after being seen during a bhog ceremony in his hometown of Awan Lakha Singh hamlet in Chogawan, Amritsar.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-246473″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-a-guy-who-was-killed-during-the-punjab-terrorism-in-an-encounter-31-years-ago-sudd.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com a guy who was killed during the punjab terrorism in an encounter 31 years ago sudd” width=”1004″ height=”668″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-a-guy-who-was-killed-during-the-punjab-terrorism-in-an-encounter-31-years-ago-sudd.jpg 275w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-a-guy-who-was-killed-during-the-punjab-terrorism-in-an-encounter-31-years-ago-sudd-150×100.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1004px) 100vw, 1004px” title=”A guy who was killed during the Punjab terrorism in an encounter 31 years ago suddenly reappears alive 3″>

The spotlight is now on Jagir’s buddy Daljit Singh, who vanished in 1992 and hasn’t been seen since. Kashmir Singh, Daljit’s father, a retired employee of the electricity department who is from the adjacent hamlet of Khiala Khurd in Amritsar, asks, “If Jagir is alive, who was depicted killed in an encounter? I thus wish to know my son’s position. Though he refrains from putting it in words, his deepest concern is “Was it his son Daljit who was killed?”

“We have been hopping from pillar to post for the past 30 years,” Kashmir continues, “but we still don’t know where our son Daljit is.”

Kashmir reacts with a hint of mistrust when asked why he believes Jagir’s reappearance may provide some insight on his son’s whereabouts: “Both Jagir and Daljit were acquainted. At that moment, the cops abused my kid after torturing me first. If Jagir, who was shown as having died in an encounter, is still alive today, I want to know who else was depicted as having perished in the meeting on December 29, 1992.

He continues by saying that a few days later, a newspaper carried a report claiming that Jagir and Daljit perished in a crossfire while battling the police. “If Jagir were alive, I’m sure they would have killed someone,” he continues. What I really want to know is who that person is.

“I had three sons, two of whom passed away: Rajwant Singh, a taxi driver, and Baljit Singh, a member of the Indian Army. Rajwant perished in a car accident, while Baljit passed away from a high altitude disease. But Kashmir cries, “We want to know the truth about Daljit.

Kashmir continues, “However, even since the Punjab Police had pronounced Jagir dead, I always sensed something was awry. I met Jagir a few days after the Punjab Police reported that he had passed away and even told the authorities. A few years later, I learned that Jagir had been detained after being caught in connection with a narcotics trafficking case. Until I just ran into him at the bhog ceremony, I had no means of verifying the report. According to Kashmir, Jagir was imprisoned for over 19 years in connection with a narcotics smuggling case.

The CBI claims:

According to CBI sources, a petition has been submitted to the court arguing that the meeting in 1992 was a hoax. Even more so considering that Jagir Singh, who was allegedly slain in that encounter, is still alive. “We are awaiting the court’s instructions.”

The primary defendant in the case is Dharam Singh, who was the former SHO of Lopoke Police Station in Amritsar, along with Tarsem Lal, Swaran Singh, and Avtar Singh. Avtar and Swaran Singh both passed away during the trial. In a separate instance of false encounters, Dharam Singh is serving a life term along with two other police officers. “Dharam Singh is the main accused,” claims Kashmir, “who not only tortured me but also my son Daljit in front of my eyes.”
