<p>Amitabh Bachchan was born in 1942 in Allahabad (now Prayagraj), the son of Teji Bachchan, a social crusader, and the renowned Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. He attended Kirori Mal College at Delhi University as well as Sherwood College in Nainital.</p>
<p>In a career spanning more than five decades and more than 200 Hindi films, he is hailed as one of Indian cinema’s most significant figures, earning the nicknames “Shahenshah of Bollywood” and “Star of the Millennium.”</p>
<p>His status as India’s “angry young man” was established by movies like Anand, Zanjeer, and Sholay. Due to Big B’s dominance in cinema during the 1970s and 1980s, French director François Truffaut referred to him as a “one-man industry.” Amar Akbar Anthony, Don, and Shakti are a few of his well-known films from the 1970s and 1980s.</p>
