The rate for a five-year recurring deposit increased to 6.7%, but the rates for other important plans remained the same

<p>The Finance Ministry released the new rates for the period between October 1 and December 31, 2023, which are revised every three months for modest savings programs.</p>
<p>The rates of all other important programs, including PPF (7.1%), Sukanya Samriddhi (8%), Kisan Vikas Patra (7.5%), Monthly Income Account (7.4%), National Savings Certificate (7.7%), Senior Citizens Savings Scheme (8.2%), as well as Saving Deposits (4%) remained constant.</p>
