<p>In the seventh game of Major League Cricket on Monday at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, the Texas Super Kings put on an outstanding performance with the ball to beat MI New York by 17 runs. Prior to holding MI New York to 137/8 in their 20 overs, the Super Kings posted 154/7.</p>
<p>Monank Patel, the first hitter for MI New York, was out for a duck in the second over after edging a Rusty Theron ball to the wicketkeeper. After that, Shayan Jahangir and Steven Taylor hit a couple boundaries, but MI New York was still 46/1 short of the necessary run rate. <p>Nicholas Pooran was run out for 19 runs off 15 balls in the 13th over, ending Shayan Jahangir and Nicholas Pooran’s partnership after they had scored 18 runs off Mohammad Mohsin in the 10th over. At the conclusion of the 14th over, MI New York were in serious danger at 92/5 as Mohsin removed Jahangir and Pollard in quick succession.</p>
<p>Tim David and Rashid Khan attempted to get MI New York across the finish line with a couple boundaries, but Daniel Sams only allowed 3 runs to be scored in the last over, ensuring that the Super Kings were victorious.</p>
<p>The Texas Super Kings decided to bat first after winning the toss earlier in the day. Two boundaries in the opening over by Devon Conway gave the Super Kings a great start. However, in the third over, Kagiso Rabada dismissed Captain Faf du Plessis for 8 runs off of 9 balls, dropping the Texas Super Kings to 20/1. Conway, though, persisted in hitting extras as the Super Kings reached 46/1 after six overs.</p>
<p>In the seventh and eighth overs, MI New York managed to halt the flow of runs, leading to Cody Chetty’s dismissal for 12 runs off 18 balls. In the 16th over, David Miller, who was having trouble starting his innings, was bowled by Rabada for 17 runs on 15 balls.</p>
<p>Conway continued dropping partners, yet he was still able to keep the scoreboard moving. Conway advanced the Super Kings’ total to 122/4 in 16.5 overs with an outstanding innings of 74 runs off 55 balls, studded with 8 boundaries and 1 six. After that, Mitchell Santner had a spectacular cameo, scoring 27 runs in only 13 deliveries to aid his side in reaching 154/7 in just 20 overs.</p>
