For the overseas markets, Kia Motors is now preparing the new version of their popular SUV, the Sonet

Popular Kia Motors SUV, the redesigned Sonet, is presently being developed for overseas markets. The small automobile is projected to make its debut in late 2023. The SUV will have new front and back designs as part of its first major redesign. The design of the automobile is anticipated to be influenced by the EV9 and EV5 designs.
The Kia Motors Sonet was one of the fastest-selling cars in India, selling over 1.5 lakh units in only 21 months following its debut in 2020. It accounts for more than 32% of the brand's total sales on our land.
Despite its competitors—the Hyundai VENUE and Maruti Suzuki Brezza—getting a big makeover last year, the company has decided to upgrade the SUV.
The Kia Sonet (facelift) will most likely retain the shape of the current-generation car. It will have new designer alloy wheels, a chiselled bonnet, the “tiger-nose” grille, LED headlights with DRLs, blacked-out pillars, ORVMs positioned on indicators, and flared wheel arches with black cladding. The SUV's rear end will get updated LED taillamps, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a shark-fin antenna.
The redesigned Kia Sonet will have a sporty but capacious cabin with five seats, and will look and feel practically same inside. A 10.25-inch infotainment display, a sunroof, automated temperature control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, linked vehicle technology, an engine start/stop button, and keyless entry will all be standard. Additionally, it will feature a basic dashboard. The safety of the passengers would be guaranteed by several airbags, ABS, and EBD.
A 1.5-liter diesel engine with 99 hp/240 nm and 113 hp/250 nm, a 1.2-liter petrol engine with 81 hp/115 nm and a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 117 hp/172 nm may all be used to power the redesigned Kia Sonet. The motors will be coupled to a 5/6-speed manual, an automatic, an iMT, or a DCT gearbox.
Kia Motors will disclose the cost of the Sonet (facelift) in the second half of 2023. We predict the SUV will cost more than the current-generation model, which ranges from Rs. 7.79 lakh to Rs. 14.89 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom) in India.
With its modernised design, state-of-the-art interior, and powerful engines, we think that the Sonet (facelift) will continue to fascinate purchasers.
