Karnataka JD (S) President CM Ibrahim is expelled by Deve Gowda for criticizing the BJP Alliance

On Thursday, CM Ibrahim, the leader of the party’s Karnataka branch, was dismissed by HD Deve Gowda, a former prime minister and national president of the Janata Dal (Secular). Gowda appointed his son, H. D. Kumaraswamy, a former chief minister, as the party’s ad hoc state unit president in addition to dissolving the state working committee.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-245116″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-karnataka-jd-s-president-cm-ibrahim-is-expelled-by-deve-gowda-for-criticizing-the-.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com karnataka jd s president cm ibrahim is expelled by deve gowda for criticizing the” width=”1118″ height=”744″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-karnataka-jd-s-president-cm-ibrahim-is-expelled-by-deve-gowda-for-criticizing-the-.jpg 275w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-karnataka-jd-s-president-cm-ibrahim-is-expelled-by-deve-gowda-for-criticizing-the–150×100.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1118px) 100vw, 1118px” title=”Karnataka JD (S) President CM Ibrahim is expelled by Deve Gowda for criticizing the BJP Alliance 6″>

Our national president made the decision to dissolve the previous unit and announce the formation of an ad hoc committee under my guidance today in order to strengthen the party. Naturally, it will be told to him (CM Ibrahim). It is my responsibility to strengthen the party. My first priority is expanding my party, Kumaraswamy told the news organization ANI.

A few days before to this incident, Ibrahim harshly attacked the BJP-JD(S) coalition’s plans for the next Lok Sabha elections. In a gathering with “like-minded” people on Monday, Ibrahim claimed that the JD(S) party he founded was the original one. Additionally, he announced the creation of a core committee, the role of which would be to provide the party head with a paper against the JD(S) joining the BJP. Ibrahim was issued a severe warning by Kumaraswamy earlier on Tuesday for raising a flag of rebellion against the party over its backing of the BJP. “Let him put up a sign indicating he is the original one if his (Ibrahim’s) party is the original one. Who is holding him back? Let him exercise his freedom. He’s free to carry it out. He has the option,” Kumaraswamy had said.

Ibrahim, a former union minister, predicted a breakup of the JD(S), but he also asserted that his organization represents the true essence of the’secular’ party. “anybody who wants to come with us is welcome; anybody else is free to go. He had stated, “We’ll see whose side has more MLAs.” The JD (S) joined the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and announced an alliance with the BJP in September in preparation for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
