India and Tanzania strengthen their relationship to a strategic alliance and agree on a five-year defense plan

<p>Six agreements were signed by the two parties, allowing for collaboration in the white shipping industry, marine sectors, culture, sports, and digital domain.</p>
<p>In a statement to the media after the negotiations, Modi said that Tanzania and India are significant trading and investment partners and that both parties are also working on a plan to enhance commerce in local currencies.</p>
<p>“Today marks a turning point in India and Tanzania’s relationship. He added in Hassan’s presence, “Today, we are linking our long-standing friendship into a strategic collaboration.</p>
<p>We have reached an agreement on a five-year strategy for the defense sector, according to Modi, who said that it would expand the scope of collaboration in sectors including military education, the marine industry, and the defense sector.</p>
<p>In addition, the prime minister noted that Tanzania and India “unanimously” agree that terrorism is the “most serious security threat to humanity.”</p>
<p>He said that we have chosen to expand our mutual collaboration in the area of counterterrorism.</p>
<p>Tanzania is a crucial partner in the Indo-Pacific, according to Modi.</p>
<p>The visiting leader was given a formal welcome at Rashtrapati Bhawan’s forecourt earlier in the day.</p>
<p>On a four-day visit, President Hassan came here on Sunday.</p>
