The Puducherry administration will pay the tuition for government school students who enroll in medical colleges

<p>Speaking to media in this location, the CM said that NEET exam-cleared students who finished their secondary education in government-run institutions are eligible for the program.</p>
<p>Under a 10% horizontal reservation quota, students from government schools would be accepted to undergraduate medical programs here.</p>
<p>He said that his government would order the institutions to stop pressuring students to pay tuition fees since the administration would be responsible for them.</p>
<p>The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) selects students for professional courses in the Union Territory.</p>
<p>The Puducherry government’s request to enforce the quota had already received Center approval earlier this month.</p>
<p>A Anbalagan, the convenor of the AIADMK in Puducherry, informed the media that his party has been lobbying the government to implement a 10% reservation in medical education for kids attending government schools.He expressed gratitude to Rangasamy for establishing the quota.</p>
