<p>Speaking at the ‘Hum Sab Ek Hai’ event at the SKICC in Srinagar, the L-G said that although his government was dedicated to preserving long-term peace in the area, the people of Jammu and Kashmir also want an end to terrorism.</p>
<p>Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, also attended the occasion.</p>
<p>“We’re dedicated to keeping Jammu and Kashmir peaceful. We’ll get revenge for our warriors’ deaths. Those responsible will get a proper response and pay a steep price. Today, the whole nation is supporting our valiant military. Without a doubt, the people of Jammu and Kashmir want to be free of terrorism, said L-G Sinha.</p>
<p>“We should all make a commitment to thwart terrorism in the area and address security threats. This area would make just as much of a contribution to the development of Bharat as any other state, he said.</p>
<p>Earlier, Lieutenant General (Retd) KJS Dhillon said on Sunday that the three security men who were murdered in the Anantnag encounter—two Indian army officers and one Jammu and Kashmir Police officer—were highly motivated individuals with extensive expertise in counter-terrorist operations.</p>
<p>“Major Aashish Dhonchak and Col. Manpreet Singh were very courageous troops. Both had many decorations. They have a ton of expertise with anti-terrorist operations, particularly in these regions, said to Lt. Dhillon, speaking to ANI.</p>
<p>DSP Humayun Bhat “was a very driven officer…He always believed in leading from the front and was incredibly educated and tech-savvy.They are all really driven individuals. They were distinguished officers. These actions were completed in a highly coordinated way, Dhillon said.</p>
