BJP spokesperson Bandi Sanjay criticizes Congress over Udhayanidhi statements, saying they are incapable of denouncing insults to Sanatan Dharma

BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar said the controversy has left the Congress in a helpless position where it cannot categorically denounce the statement made by DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, who compared Sanatan Dharma to “mosquitoes, dengue, malaria, fever, and corona”.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-189848″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-bjp-spokesperson-bandi-sanjay-criticizes-congress-over-udhayanidhi-statements-sayi.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com bjp spokesperson bandi sanjay criticizes congress over udhayanidhi statements sayi” width=”984″ height=”737″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-bjp-spokesperson-bandi-sanjay-criticizes-congress-over-udhayanidhi-statements-sayi.jpg 259w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-bjp-spokesperson-bandi-sanjay-criticizes-congress-over-udhayanidhi-statements-sayi-150×112.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 984px) 100vw, 984px” title=”BJP spokesperson Bandi Sanjay criticizes Congress over Udhayanidhi statements, saying they are incapable of denouncing insults to Sanatan Dharma 9″>

The DMK leader had previously demanded that “Sanatan” be “eradicated” and not only “opposed” when speaking at a conference in Chennai.

Along with being partners in the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), the DMK and the Congress are also allies in the Tamil Nadu government coalition, which is in opposition.

The BJP leader and former governor of Telangana remarked, “The Congress has double standards on religion,” in an interview with ANI on Sunday. A party leader has already been suspended for derogatory remarks about a certain faith. The Congress was a result. They, however, were unable to muster even a single word of condemnation when a leader of its ally raged at Sanatan Dharma.

The BJP national general secretary said that the Congress was engaging in minority appeasement and that its political compulsions prevented it from reacting to an insult of the majority group. When the religious sensibilities of the majority population are offended and injured, it is unable to protest.

Sanjay Kumar claimed that the party doesn’t trust its own leaders, which is why the leaders’ phones were taken away before the meeting to prevent internal squabbles from spilling into the open, during the first meeting of the reconstituted Congress Working Committee (CWC) in Hyderabad.

“There are many frauds in the Congress. It lacks confidence in its own authorities. In order to prevent difficult facts about internal disputes from becoming public, Congress leaders’ phones were taken away. In a democratic way, the BJP and the majority community would fight against any effort to taint or denigrate the Sanatan Dharma, he stressed.

BJP officials and seers had already asked that Udhaynidhi retract his comments and provide an apology after strongly objecting to it.
