India captain Rohit Sharma has been in scintillating form in the Asia Cup 2023. The batter has scored three consecutive half-centuries, demonstrating his exceptional talent and leadership skills ahead of the World Cup 2023.
Sharma’s journey in the tournament began with a challenging encounter against Pakistan. Despite the initial setback where he fell cheaply, Sharma displayed resilience and determination. He used his experience as one of the top batters in the circuit and roared back into the tournament with superb knocks.His turnaround came in the second group stage match against Nepal. In a rain-affected clash, Sharma led from the front, scoring a match-winning fifty and helping India secure a comfortable victory. His unbeaten 74 off just 59 deliveries not only sealed India’s win.
 
Following his success against Nepal, Sharma continued his impressive form in the Super Four match against Pakistan. He played a crucial role in setting up a solid foundation for the Indian team, scoring another half-century and contributing significantly to India’s massive win by 228 runs. His performance was lauded by former India coach Ravi Shastri, who praised Sharma for handling the initial brilliant spell by Naseem Shah and then capitalizing on every opportunity
