<p>AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi took a shot at him, accusing the Narendra Modi led BJP Government at the Centre of capitulating before China over its aggrandisement along the border. <p>Owaisi was responding to a statement made by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the “candid and in-depth exchange of views” between President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi about present China-India ties and other shared interests.</p>
<p>Following their short encounter on the margins of the BRICS conference in Johannesburg, he posted a series of critical comments about the border situation involving China on the microblogging site X.</p>
<p>Owaisi poked fun at Modi, saying, “Our Prime Minister is traveling around asking for meetings with the Chinese president while keeping his own people in the dark about the true situation on the Ladakh border. It is unclear if China or India requested the meeting. What does Mod want to conceal? Why is the Modi administration pressuring the army to accept any kind of border crisis resolution? Why does it not demand a return to the pre-May 2020 situation? Why does Modi support China’s unlawful military action?</p>
<p>Owaisi continued by saying that the courageous troops had continued to guard the border, refusing to be intimidated by China, and questioned if the prime minister would tolerate a loss of land.</p>
<p>He continued by criticizing the Center, adding, “The Modi Government’s submission before China on the border issue is disgraceful and dangerous. This is a question of national security, not Modi’s private property, and should be discussed in a special session of Parliament.</p>
