<p>OMG 2, a movie about sex education, debuted in theaters on August 11 after the Censor Board approved it with 27 edits and other changes. However, the public has shown the movie a ton of love and admiration ever since it came out. <p>“We are delighted that viewers enjoyed the movie. The movie’s intentions were good. The crowd appreciated it because no one tried to make them uncomfortable. We handled it (the narrative) in a manner that isn’t offensive. We discuss reality, but in a lighthearted and pleasant manner,” Rai told PTI.</p>
<p>“We’ve chosen to broadcast the original film, which the censor never intended for anyone to view, but… The general audience has watched the movie and commented on it. What do we say if the censor board doesn’t grasp it? added the director. It should be emphasized, nevertheless, that the OTT release of OMG 2 is still unclear.</p>
<p>For the uninitiated, OMG 2 was submitted for evaluation by the Central Board of Film Certification in July of this year, one month after Adipurush, the Prabhas-starring film, received a significant amount of negative feedback from viewers. According to rumors, the decision to evaluate OMG 2 was made to minimize the criticism that developed when Adipurush was published in June 2023. The Indian Censor Board then approved OMG 2 with 27 alterations and several adjustments, awarding it a “A – Adults Only” certificate.</p>
<p>Govind Namdev, who returned to play Pujari in OMG 2, recently sent a lengthy letter to the CBFC criticizing them for not giving the Akshay Kumar movie a U/A certificate. “OMG, O MY GOD is finally released with 24 Censor cuts and senseless A certificate so that teenagers should not see the movie for whom the movie is made, And Censor has passed it!” he wrote.</p>
<p>“Jo dimaag censor board ko Adipurush jaisi behuda film mein lagana chahiye tha wo unhone ‘Oh My God” jaisi insightful aur progressive film ko kaatne kootne mein kharch kar diya!” Waah (CBFC ought to have used its intellect while evaluating a pitiful movie like Adipurush. But instead, they wasted all of their mental energy on tearing down an intelligent and forward-thinking movie like OMG 2,” the actor said.</p>
