Honoring the lives lost in the display “Horrors of Partition”

At the opening of the “Horrors of Partition” exhibition today, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri highlighted that “we must remember the partition horrors to ensure that this never happens again.” The display was inspired by Prime Minister Modi’s proclamation two years ago designating August 14 as “Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas” or Partition Horrors Remembrance Day in memory of those who lost their lives during partition.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-126124″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/theindiaprint.com-honoring-the-lives-lost-in-the-display-horrors-of-partition-download-2023-08-14t165707.350-11zon.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com honoring the lives lost in the display horrors of partition download 2023 08 14t165707.350 11zon” width=”1238″ height=”824″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/theindiaprint.com-honoring-the-lives-lost-in-the-display-horrors-of-partition-download-2023-08-14t165707.350-11zon.jpg 275w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/theindiaprint.com-honoring-the-lives-lost-in-the-display-horrors-of-partition-download-2023-08-14t165707.350-11zon-150×100.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1238px) 100vw, 1238px” title=”Honoring the lives lost in the display "Horrors of Partition" 6″>
