The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducts searches throughout five states in connection with the PFI conspiracy investigation, and incriminating papers are collected

An official claimed that on Sunday, the National Investigation Agency carried out a series of searches in five different states as part of its ongoing attempts to thwart a plot by the Popular Front of India to destabilize the nation and disrupt the peace by pushing a sectarian wedge amongst the people.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-125319″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/theindiaprint.com-download-2023-08-13t182058.291-11zon-2.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com download 2023 08 13t182058.291 11zon 2″ width=”1232″ height=”923″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/theindiaprint.com-download-2023-08-13t182058.291-11zon-2.jpg 259w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/theindiaprint.com-download-2023-08-13t182058.291-11zon-2-150×112.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1232px) 100vw, 1232px” title=”The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducts searches throughout five states in connection with the PFI conspiracy investigation, and incriminating papers are collected 3″>

According to a spokeswoman for the federal agency, searches were conducted at fourteen sites in Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Bihar. As a result of these searches, various digital devices as well as papers that may be used as evidence were seized.

According to the official, the searches were carried out in the districts of Kannur and Malappuram in the Indian state of Kerala, Dakshin Kannada in the Indian state of Karnataka, Nashik and Kolhapur in the Indian state of Maharashtra, Murshidabad in the Indian state of West Bengal, and Katihar in the Indian state of Bihar.

“The NIA has been working to unravel and thwart the attempts by PFI and its top leadership to create an armed cadre and raise a PFI Army for the establishment of an Islamic caliphate in India by the year 2047 through acts of terror, violence, and sabotage. This work has been going on for quite some time.”

The organization’s spokesman said that “PFI has been conspiring to radicalize gullible youth and provide them with weapons training in an attempt to further its violent anti-India agenda by fighting against certain sections of the society.”

According to the source, the organization has a strong suspicion that certain mid-rung PFI operatives are working as master trainers and leading armament training camps across several states for the organization’s highly radicalized cadres.

“Based on intelligence and investigative analysis and insights, it (NIA) has been raiding multiple locations in various states over the past several months to identify and arrest these cadres and operatives,” stated the spokesman for the organization.

After conducting operations around the nation in September 2022, the NIA opened an investigation into PFI in April of the previous year and subsequently arrested some of its senior officials, including more than a dozen members of the National Executive Council.

In March, the investigating agency presented a charge sheet against PFI as an organization and 19 of its members. Then, in April, the investigating agency presented a supplemental charge sheet against PFI’s national coordinator of weapons training.

“Investigations are continuing to unearth and expose the complete PFI conspiracy to indoctrinate and train susceptible youth to create mayhem in the country,” claimed the spokesman for the organization.
