The Sudanese army claims to have killed 26 paramilitary fighters

<p>According to a statement released by the SAF on Friday, its special forces attacked RSF militants in the Farajallah neighborhood close to El-Obeid, killing 26 of them and destroying two combat vehicles in the process.</p>

<p>RSF positions south of Khartoum and in the neighboring city of Omdurman are still being bombarded by SAF aircraft, according to eyewitnesses who spoke to Xinhua.</p>

<p>Five civilians were murdered in fighting between the SAF and the RSF in Sudan’s South Darfur State, the Darfur Bar Association said on Friday.</p>

<p>In a statement, the organization claimed that the civilians were murdered on Thursday night in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur state, after an exchange of artillery shelling between the two sides.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The group demanded that the conflict cease right now in order to prevent additional death and damage in the nation.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>According to data supplied by the Sudanese Health Ministry, the SAF and the RSF have been engaged in fatal skirmishes in Khartoum and other regions since April 15. These conflicts have resulted in at least 3,000 deaths and more than 6,000 injuries.</p>
