<p>Following a media report earlier this month, High Court Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Saurabh Banerjee took notice of the situation and set the hearing for September 1.</p>

<p>Santosh Tripathi, an experienced attorney representing the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD), takes notice on behalf of the GNCTD, which includes the Education Department. In regards to the actions taken in the issue by the Delhi Police as well as the Education Department, GNCTD, let a status report be submitted positively within two weeks from today, the court said.</p>

<p>The court said in its ruling dated August 8 that “Tripathi, while filing the status report, will mask the name of the girl child as well as the names of the girl child’s parents, and shall undertake all necessary measures to protect the identity and right to privacy of the girl child.”</p>

<p>“He shall take care that the media acts in compliance with the statutory provisions as contained in Section 23 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act), 2012,” the court said.</p>

<p>The little girl was allegedly sexually raped by a cleaner in a bathroom at a school in South Delhi on August 1.</p>

<p>Arjun Kumar, the accused (33), was also taken into custody. According to a senior police officer who shared the data, on August 1 at 11:46 a.m., the Hauz Khas police station got a report about child abuse at a school close to the Chirag Delhi flyover, Panchsheel Enclave.</p>

<p>When the police squad arrived, they were greeted by the 3.5-year-old victim and her aunt.</p>

<p>“The girl mentioned a case of sexual assault involving one employee, Arjun, who used to work in the school’s male restroom. In addition, the child informed her mother that the’safaiwala uncle’ used to observe her while she used the restroom and that he sexually molested her, according to the official.</p>

<p>The official said, “As a result, a case has been lodged under sections 376 (rape) and 377 (unnatural crimes) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 6 POCSO Act, and Arjun, a resident of Shivam Enclave, Old Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, has been detained and taken into judicial custody.</p>
