This festival is being celebrated in an original style at the Sri Muthumari Amman Temple in Samathrmapuram, Theni District, Tamil Nadu. This year, the temple has chosen to give the event a contemporary spin. For the sake of the worshippers, Goddess Muthumari has been placed within a platform or stage on a bullet bike. She has large flower garlands and other decorations on her. In order to demonstrate that devotees would be rewarded with fortune during this season, currency notes have been put on the flowers. The devotees, who are in town to offer prayers and ask the goddess for favours, have been drawn in by the original concept.

Goddess Muthumari Amman is said to be Lord Subramanya’s celestial spouse. Given that she is seen as a kid, Muthumari Amman is revered as a virgin divinity. Instead of the customary gift of a mangal sutra, devotees who want to be married are said to place a gold pearl at her feet. She is seen carrying a trident, skull, snake, and damaru (a tiny drum) in her four hands.

Goddess Aandal Nachiar is honored at the Aadi Monsoon Festival since her birthday is celebrated during the pooram Nakshatra of the month of Aadi. You could also come across some peculiar temples of worship in India. Some of these structures were created in accordance with weird and foreign belief systems because they are linked to bizarre or enigmatic tales.
