Someone’s “Target” is the Maharashtra SP Chief, according to a terrifying WhatsApp message

Abu Asim Azmi, the leader of the Samajwadi Party’s Maharashtra unit, received a death threat on Monday through WhatsApp and phone call.

Threatening texts were sent to the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Mumbai’s Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar seat via WhatsApp. One of the messages had a picture of a rifle with sights and a bloody knife aiming at him. There was a disturbing warning text with the picture that ominously read, “There is time for three days!”<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-41831″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/www.theindiaprint.com-someones-target-is-the-maharashtra-sp-chief-according-to-a-terrifying-whatsapp-message-azmi-750×563.jpg” alt=”” width=”1480″ height=”1111″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/www.theindiaprint.com-someones-target-is-the-maharashtra-sp-chief-according-to-a-terrifying-whatsapp-message-azmi-750×563.jpg 750w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/www.theindiaprint.com-someones-target-is-the-maharashtra-sp-chief-according-to-a-terrifying-whatsapp-message-azmi-1024×768.jpg 1024w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/www.theindiaprint.com-someones-target-is-the-maharashtra-sp-chief-according-to-a-terrifying-whatsapp-message-azmi-768×576.jpg 768w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/www.theindiaprint.com-someones-target-is-the-maharashtra-sp-chief-according-to-a-terrifying-whatsapp-message-azmi-150×113.jpg 150w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/www.theindiaprint.com-someones-target-is-the-maharashtra-sp-chief-according-to-a-terrifying-whatsapp-message-azmi.jpg 1200w” sizes=”(max-width: 1480px) 100vw, 1480px” />

“This dude calls me on my personal phone number and threatens to murder me within three days if I don’t respond to him on Whatsapp. The leader posted on his social media account that the situation had been reported to the Colaba Police Station.

The leader immediately took action by filing a case with the Colaba Police Station after receiving the threats. An inquiry is now being conducted to look into the situation and get all the specifics.

It is upsetting to learn that the same politician faced threats to his life in January of this year because of his vocal support for Aurangzeb, the Mughal emperor.

His personal assistant was the target of these threats, where the culprit not only used profanity but also made clear threats to hurt Abu Asim Azmi, including violent threats.
