Cong Engages In Corruption And Unethical Behaviour, So Its Leaders Don’t Practise Holy “Yoga”: Vijayvargiya

On Wednesday, senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya said that Congress representatives should not be associated with the sacred practise of yoga since the party engages in unethical and immoral behaviour.
On the occasion of the International Day of Yoga, he spoke with media.

“Congress practises various forms of yoga across the nation and the state. The leaders of the Congress have a “yog” (connection) with corruption and other immoral activities. The BJP general secretary questioned how the Congress could be connected to the revered yoga practise.

When the Congress honoured Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the nation’s first prime minister, for his role in popularising yoga, Vijayvargiya said this.

The Congress said on its official Twitter account, “On International Yoga Day, we express our gratitude to Pandit Nehru, who was instrumental in popularising yoga and making it a part of the national policy.”

The opposing party also made public a picture of Nehru holding his head up.

The chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has rendered Vijayvargiya “helpless,” according to a remark made earlier by Congress MLA Jaivardhan Singh.

When questioned over the claim, Vijayvargiya referred to Jaivardhan as “immature in politics” and stated he would speak to him once he was “mature”.

In response to the recent police lathi-charge on several Bajrang Dal activists in Indore when they were participating in a rally against the drug mafia, Vijayvargiya declined to comment on the reported BJP rift.

However, he said that the state administration had responded severely to the accusation of using a lathi.

The very following day, when the leaders of the governing BJP and Vishva Hindu Parishad voiced their outrage over the lathi-charge on Bajrang Dal supporters, a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and a station in-charge were withdrawn from field deployment.
