Lineman In UP's Hapur Cuts Electricity Of Entire Police Line Due To Rs 1,000 Challan

Hapur News: A lineman in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, used his talents as a lineman to get retribution after becoming irate about a traffic ticket. The city Traffic Police gave the lineman, identified as Khalid, a resident of the nearby district of Meerut, a challan for Rs 1,000 when he entered Hapur on the basis of a complaint. The lineman turned off the power to the whole police queue as retaliation, putting the cops and their families in the dark.

According to the source, Khalid rode a motorcycle into Hapur and was fined Rs 1,000 for violating traffic restrictions and without wearing a helmet. Additionally, he got into an altercation with the traffic police officers and revealed to them that he is a lineman with the Energy Department who has come to the area for work. When the police refused to listen to him, insisting that the rules apply to everyone, he grew enraged.

On social media, a video of him turning off the power at the police queue has gone viral. He was spotted climbing the electric pole of the police line and cutting the electricity. Soon the area was completely enveloped in darkness. The power outage caused darkness to cover the houses of several policemen, including the superintendent of police. Senior officials from the Police Department and the Department of Energy have not yet commented on the event.
