PM Prachanda of Nepal will go to India on May 31 for a four-day official visit

The foreign ministry in this city announced on Saturday that Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as “Prachanda,” will depart for India on Wednesday for a four-day official visit. While there, he will meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders to discuss furthering their long-standing, intricate bilateral relations.
After taking office in December 2022, this will be the prime minister of Nepal's first bilateral trip overseas.
The 68-year-old Prachanda will go with his daughter Ganga Dahal. At the request of his Indian counterpart, Prime Minister Modi, he is now in India.
A delegation that includes ministers, secretaries, and senior government officials will be led by him.
The prime minister will pay President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar a courtesy call during the tour, the ministry said in a statement.
On June 1, Prachanda and Modi will conduct delegation-level discussions. The two prime ministers will have a joint news conference after the meetings, according to the statement, and Modi will throw a luncheon in honor of his Nepali colleague and his team.
'Prachanda', the prime minister of Nepal, is now on his fourth trip to India. The visit would further solidify Nepal and India's long-standing, close-knit ties, it was said.
The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) jointly organized the Nepal-India Business Summit in New Delhi, it was announced. The prime minister will also meet with business executives from both nations.
According to the announcement, Prachanda will engage with the Nepali community in India at a welcoming event organized by Shankar Prasad Sharma, the ambassador of Nepal to India.
Before returning to Kathmandu on June 3, the prime minister is also slated to go to Ujjain and Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
