Gas leak at a plant in Punjab results in 9 fatalities and 11 injuries

After a gas leak was reported at a factory in Punjab's Ludhiana on Sunday, at least nine people died and 11 others lost consciousness, according to a senior district official.
A team of doctors, a fire brigade, and NDRF teams have all been dispatched to the factory. It is unquestionably a gas leak case. The NDRF team is on the scene to conduct the rescue operation and evacuate the residents. 11 people are ill and 9 people died in this incident, according to Swati, SDM Ludhiana West.
“The precise cause won't become clear until we visit the scene of the incident. Another officer stated, “We are awaiting the NDRF, who specialise in this.
The wounded were taken urgently to a hospital, he claimed.
Police have cordoned off the area and are on the scene.
